Southern AgCredit is a full-service, locally owned cooperative lender specializing in financing rural land and agricultural operations in Mississippi and Louisiana. We serve the fifty most southern counties in Mississippi and eleven parishes in Northwest Louisiana. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or other related field and/or two (2) or more years direct experience in mortgage banking, preferably in the loan origination or processing of conventional mortgages.
Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry consistent with the requirements of part 610 of FCA’s Regulations and the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the S.A.F.E. Act).
Markets and originates loans to be sold in a secondary mortgage market. Determines appropriate investor with which to place the mortgage based upon approved investors and available products. Pro-actively sells and delivers customer-focused financial solutions tailored to specific customer needs, by building customer relationships based on added value, knowledge, information, ease and quality service. Recommends or approves loans in assigned territory consistent with Association policies. Develops and manages loan portfolios. Develops and executes marketing and sales plans to achieve Association marketing and financial goals. Attracts new customers and ensure satisfaction and retention of all customers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Desktop Underwriter, and loan originating software; possess a current awareness of the secondary market industry, as well as, economic and housing developments in the region that may impact the housing market; strong communication, negotiating, problem solving and administrative skills; superior time management, organizational and personal management skills; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers to facilitate effective and efficient coordination of service delivered to customers or prospective customers; ability to analyze a wide variety of financial information and identify creative solutions.
